have you read the watch manual which will advise on winding
if the model has calibre 4400 which has a power reserve of 65 hours-to fully wind would require approx 80 or more thumb roll turns of the crown
when you feel resistance is normal-(as the mainspring is winding around the barrel arbor) and to keep on going-if you use your nails of your thumb and index finger to wind then you will not over wind as the crown will slip in the nail grip when maximum wind is reached.

I stopped when I felt the resistance, the watch went on for like 10 secs and suddenly it stopped, this watch as far as I know doesn’t have hacking seconds so when the second stopped I was like wha? The movement also completely stopped

i assume this model has the stop seconds for setting the exact time to the second if the movement worked ok in the shop and can be fully wound then i would assume that the lever that stops the balance wheel may be the problem-if you turn over the watch to...
