I have been hoping to read a review of the twin Beat such as this for some time. First, the Twin Beat looks great on your wrist. As you said, it is the technical aspects of the watch that draws the initial focus, but the Twin Beat is a very handsome looking watch overall, with a fairly balanced appearance both the front and the back views. There are so many details to admire, I imagine you will be discovering new details for a long time to come.
I really like the NAC treatment of the movement. It is beautiful and maybe helps with the legibility of the lower half of the dial, too? Vacheron is using this same darkening NAC treatment on the movement of the newly launched Overseas Skeleton Perpetual Calendar to increase legibility, but the Twin Beat was the testing ground.
I think it was smart of VC to build this watch on the Traditionnelle platform and within pretty normal proportions as say a Traditionnelle chronograph, for instance. The result is a watch that tests the current technical boundaries in watchmaking with exciting innovations while adhering to the "traditional" Traditionnelle design code. It is a beautiful marriage.

I think the leap year dial is wrongly set at 1. This year being a leap year, it should be set at 4. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
