Both are exemples of management asking « ok creative team, you have to invent something that nobody has ever dared, impress us».
Both designs are collections of gimmicks with Little coherence and zero simplicity. IMO a beautiful design is a simple one and feels natural (see the original RO)

Actually yesterday I had the chance to try them on the Platinum Cubitus and the 40mm steel bracelet and to my surprise I liked both, not loved, but liked!
The platinum calendar is youthful, casual, heavy a daily companion, while the steel bracelet(40mm), is a one and done, refined, but way more solid than I expected, has some weight but extremely balanced on the wrist…

As for the Code, I like the new skeleton perpetual, but I need to see it in person before judgement.

The side view below is a strange one, but there is not that coke bottle effect at any other angle. It actually took me several months to of ownership before I saw that.

This is the Code I could love to own (I've tried others, but this one really stood out). 

And wouldn't feel a shred of jealousy. For me, the Cubitus will never appeal and I love square / rectangular case shapes... It feels like the more they push it the less appealing it becomes, regarding the Code, if they changed the hands to match the technicality of the case it would totally work, perhaps taking a handset inspired but the ROO, it struggles with a highly geometrical case and relatively unadorned hand set, the high / low mix is off.

Not to hate on the Cubitus but it really feels like it's just TS's agenda.... similar in my mind to a Cybertruck. Some may like it, but can't deny that it's a pet project. Code gets a bad rap, but it's a great platform.

I have many more Pateks than APs, but I would go Code. The newer versions are starting to hit their stride. The 38 QP, Starwheel, etc.
I hope Patek figures out something with the Cubitus, but it ist doing it for me right now

At 40mm. I find the time only cubitus to be more aesthetically appealing than the complications. And on the flip side, the complicated Codes are attractive but the time only are not appealing to me.
