I doubt Richemont has much to do with the day to day

operation and customer service related to their individual watch brands. This thread made me want to relate a positive story from another Richemont brand, VC.  Last year I purchased a Patrimony World Time watch and it malfunctioned 1 month after I received it.  I sent it to their service center in Texas and got it back 2 weeks later, but it had not been fixed.  I wrote an email to their customer liason in NYC and from that point on the sevice could not have been any better.  This person directed me where to send the watch and regularly updated me on the progress of the watch's repair until it was returned. His handling of the situation made me a bigger fan of the brand than I already was. The one thing VC does not do is tell you what is wrong with your watch.  This was the second time I had sent a watch in for service and all they would tell me is that the watches are not operating up to their standards and they will fix them.  Although I find this silly that they will not tell you what is wrong with the watch I guess it is their prerogative to give out the info they see fit, and as long as the watch is fixed I am ok with it.   Long story short I was very impressed with VC's service and would not hold Richemont responsible for a poor experience with one of their brands.
