Tesla today is the company that sells the most 1000 horsepower cars. However, these are AWD cars and they're not sports cars - they're 4 door sedan and SUVs. So far, I haven't heard of excessive car accidents in Teslas. But only the insurance company actuaries get the reliable data. We will see if this 2 door sports car with RWD creates problems... Hopefully not.

Historically, Corvettes have been RWD. The new E Ray will be AWD. But this E-Ray Hybrid AWD is not the Corvette Purist's car. The ZR1 needs to appeal to Corvette Purists.
