I totally agree with you and I thank you for chiming in! And thank you for chiming in with an open mind! A lot of people whom are a little stubbornly puristic but overly critical about electric cars even without having driving them yet. Great for commuting! And they're fast and responsive. Handling is mixed - the steering on Model 3 is quite good, suspension set up is quite good on most model years (in 2017 it was too firm, in 2018 it was firm and good for a sporting driver but too firm for the passenger, and starting around 2020 they became a little softer and I think most people like the softer set up). The car isn't under-tire-ed - like the Mustang Mach-E (Tesla Model 3 is 235mm wide tire, Mach-E is only 225mm wide). The Tesla Model 3 is unfortunately under-braked for high speed driving - it wouldn't survive turn 2 at Laguna Seca - the brakes would just be gone. But for city street use, the brakes are probably sufficient with regenerative braking. Brakes wouldn't work on the Autobahn though. I can't wait to see a two door Porsche with EV powertrain! I'd want a 500 hp Cayman RWD with "S" package or "GTS" package.
