Porsche has been pretty competitive amongst it's peers, the 997 gen cars were competitive in their era with the strut fronts. Today's GT3R is double wishbone AND mid-engine, should people stop buying the 911 too because of the rear engine? 😂

As you say, Porsche has had many victories. Reliability, power, aero, Porsche built many winning cars with strut fronts because of the competitiveness of the overall package. No car is perfect, they all have their pros and cons. Porsche made the rear engine thing work for decades until the last few years when they went mid-engine, same for the front strut suspension. I dunno, inferior is a strong word. Maybe we're the wrong crowd, WPS isn't full of people wearing casios because they're more accurate and I don't think Porsche buyers are buying them because they are the fastest cars for the money.... well, maybe the turbo S buyers.
