i'm taken aback by the new collections...both case aesthetics and movement finishes appear to be great. i feel the integration of roth and gg into the bulgari brand while keeping the two names as lines of the bulgari family has helped instill a feeling of technicality into the brand. previously to me bulgari was a jewelry brand not really closely associated with high horology but what bulgari has done now seems to have reversed that for me.
i like them.

For myself not much has changed
The Purists edition is kind of cool, with the added meaning attached because it is a Purists watch. But to me, Bulgari continues to reek of me-too styling, over the top design. It still feels very 'wannabe', to me, IMHO. I'm referring solely to design.

At one point in Bulgari's history, watches had AP,JLC, Vacheron movements.
