Bulgari now
I believe that Bulgari is still not on the map of the watchmaking world.
Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta still are, even discontinued.
It would have been more impactful for serious connosseurs to preserve DR
and GG on the dials, and have a Bulgari signature on the back...
I was considering the endurer because of its important heritage, but could never overcome the new name on the dial...
For many... The high prices of Bulgari watches are not keeping up with their value... especially perceived value is much lower than the prices
Great designs, great ideas, but all in wrong places..... The lady serpenti watches are pretty original though ! Oh but wait, that is Bulgari heritage 
The truth is that with a huge group behind, and lots of money, everyone can make highly complex watches. Even dior and chanel watches come with complications... But that is not all it takes... As somebody put it well in previous posts.... It is embarassing to see the same name on plastic Bulgari watches, and complicated ones. It should be either/or. Also after sales service.... woah... good luck...
Large group, large brand, but still a long way to go.... I am sure that the production of GG and DR pieces has grown through Bulgari, but that is only because of the sell in to the distribution network, not because of the great success of the collection....

For myself not much has changed
The Purists edition is kind of cool, with the added meaning attached because it is a Purists watch. But to me, Bulgari continues to reek of me-too styling, over the top design. It still feels very 'wannabe', to me, IMHO. I'm referring solely to design.
LOL, hmm...and I thought they were trying to simplify...
...some of the designs. Perhaps some are still overstyled. For example the new Papillon Voyageur. There does seem to be a lot going on on that dial and the Octo Maserati too. But I have to say that the original DR and GG dials were even more overly styled...

At one point in Bulgari's history, watches had AP,JLC, Vacheron movements.
