I agree! It does create an interruption or a "nakedness" to a dial.

 

I did make an exception for that Vacheron Constantin 6000T I reviewed, I found that watch wonderful, even with the exposed Tourbillon which is normally against my personal choice. But generally, I like my tourbillons to be hidden from view, kind of like how Patek Philippe used to do it with some of their models.
