Totally okay to go with that gut feeling!
I'm starting to like plain non-complication timepieces in general. Sometimes a "plain" watch can be super elegant. A lot of these other things are superfluous. And all the calendars on my watches are off because they've been taken off the winder and are hardly ever worn. Heck, sometimes, if I need to grab a watch in a hurry, I sometimes wished I had a nice quartz watch! Just grabbed a watch and the time was wrong on it. Thankfully it was a time-only so it was easy to set. Member Geo says I should consider that Cartier Solarbeat! He's probably right! A true watch lover would just wind all of his watches every day and wouldn't complain!

The Tank Américaine Flying Tourbillon has all the classic Cartier design details whilst still remaining contemporary. The manual winding calibre 9452 MC powers this Geneva Seal, flying tourbillon, 19 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, power reserve of ap...

These are my sentiments as well. I don't know if I can 'intellectualize it', but with Cartier, I tend to prefer their 'plain' non-complication timepieces.... Perhaps it is because their design language, by default, imbues them with a certain character and...
That's exactly why....

I promised myself never to own more than 6-7 luxury watches at any one time.... It just becomes too impractical, and literally impossible to actually use them on a remotely regular basis. I am not one who's going to put half-a-dozen luxury watches in a ba...

I was in a similar place many years ago (toward the end of the 2000s), and that's when I decided to make a 'clear-cut' pact with myself related to the purchase and use of luxury watches.... Cheers, Filip

I bought my OG Speedmaster in 2006, close to 16 years ago! That was my first high-horology watch purchase, and even back then I remember thinking to myself I wouldn't want to own more than three luxury timepieces, but whom was I kidding ........
