The new movement’s grande basculante seems like a missed opportunity to include a master pusher that advances all three (day, date, moonphase) at the same time, for the convenience of the user.

As the article quotes Thierry Stern saying, calendars are intimidating to many. So burden them with a very complex (but not even perpetual) calendar setting procedure?

Well there is hope. Stern said this is just the beginning of the collection. One can still hope for the future perpetual calendar model to include that Thing which Patek helped to develop for wristwatch use, more than 50 years ago.

Having seen some real live pictures now, I must say the blue day date could have been a great watch, only if it would have been far smaller. The complications are good, the instant changes are top, pushers are still o.k. as the movement is too complex. 45...
