- Too many models with Breguet numerals; OK we like them but that’s a bit too much, especially when mixed with other fonts, the new 5327 dial looks very busy and even though the squeezed date-numbers have disappeared (thumb up on this one) - I am not sure it works
- No new models using the 260 caliber
- New worldtimer looks a bit boring but the guilloché looks amazing and the size is good.
- New worldtimer chrono : will have to see it before judging – but if you remember my prediction – I got it right when posting the ref. 1415 HU picture
I like that it does not seem too thick.
- The new 5396s were a bit unexpected, as a owner of the classic plain dial 5396G I like the idea of a pair, the charcoal grey dial will be my choice. Although the latter reminds of the Tiffany limited black dial edition and that’s kind of crossing a line in terms of Patek « rules », but I have to see it live to see if it is close to the Tiffany or not. Finally I am a bit puzzled by the diamond clasp : « fold-over clasp set with 22 baguette diamonds (~0.97 ct) » this will certainly make it the most expensive 5396 model after the bracelet fitted models.
So I am not convince that I will get a WT or perpetual model this year. I am pleased to see that the 5235G regulator is still there, but I need to see the new WT chrono and the charcoal dial 5396G - and maybe the new WT (white gold) guilloché will win me over...
I am looking forward to some live pictures over the weekend but I plan to go next Tuesday
Best,
