Seiko

Another one not worn in a while βš–οΈπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

The Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 is one of my favorite stealthy Seikos. Released in the early 1990s in small quantities as a JDM only model it brought back Seiko’s thinnest mechanical movement- the 6810, at 1,98mm in an elegant dress piece (OK, put it on a black croc and it’s perfectly black tie wearable).

Hardly ever encountered and while I would love to bag its even more minimalist SCVL001 brother, I haven’t found a single one for sale in over 10 years of on and off looking πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

And it’s one of the very few watches, which has a shaped movement in a round case - so doubly quirky.

So anyone fearing that small watches don’t work - that’s 33mm on the same wrist as the 51mm Izul posted yesterday 😁
