Let's try to give some justice to a very interesting Watch, the Portuguese 5000, which appeared in 2000.
This watch has all, some nice volumes, not too big nor thick, a discretly domed plexy, which gives to the watch a pleasant touch of warmth, a well balanced dial ( so called Panda ), and...An interesting movement, a 7 Days Autmomatic Power Reserve., at an era where 7 Days Power Reserve movements weren't many.
Here's the watch:
Are you tempted by an inside trip?
This way, please...
Here's the Case Back:
This IWC is not reaching the level of finish of some monsters as the Best VCs, PPs, Lange or JLCs, of course.
The " anglages, perlages " and other classics of the fine art of finishing are not on the top, but the movement is far from being ugly.
Here are the pics:
The play of light, the effects on the work of the movement, the diffrent levels and relief are something really stunning on this watch.
Isn't it lovely?
Hope you will enjoy these pics.
Best.
