Funny thing is this … two “serious”collectors came over to the house for a coffee a few months back. Tried on my laureato 8010, 81000, 8017.
They were blown away. These guys have several high complications pateks, both have nautilus’s and royal oaks 50th anniversary and skeleton etc. They loved the GPS and went out and bought from the open market. One bought the silver and blue dial 81000 and also the laureato olimpico 8017. The other also bought a 8017.
So it only other could try on these pieces, I’m pretty sure they will love them too.
Especially the sizes of 36,40 and 41 mm.

The calibre 13500 was created specifically for the ref 80188. In the 70’s we would be talking about calibre 350/352. I know JLC used quartz movements from GP as well as several other brands. Which calibres I’m not so sure. I’ll ask a friend who is a quart...
