Today i thought a lot of this
Shall i love my Longines quartz Conquest vhp more than my mechanical Revue Thommen Air Speed?
The Longines value is around 1K, the Revue 0.6K.
The outcome is that i like my Revue more, while it is cheaper.
No battery worries, and ones in 7 years a service of 270 euro is great when i know that after 3 years the battery will be empty again.
Longines count 99 euro for a battery swap, and that is included the shipping (secured). Included 24 warranty.
6 years.
Revue 270 euro service.
Longines 200 euro service.
Outcome, Longines is a bit cheaper. But, when it needs parts renew, there come some extra costs. Total: The Two watches cost the same.

Just to share as well … I don’t service my mechanical watches unless I notice a problem in accuracy or smoke is coking out of the case. 😄 For my battery change, I’ll probably do it myself in the future but for the first time, I asked my watch guy to do it...
