Advice for a visit to Baselworld 2011
Hi All,
I'll be in Austria for a business trip and intend to drive from Linz to Baselworld on 26 March 2011.
I'd appreciate any advice or tips from members.
This will be my first solo road trip in Europe, so any information would be helpful.
Wouldn't mind meeting fellow members too, if anyone is willing to.

since (1) the Swiss give public transport priority over private one and (ii) therefore, in general and especially during major events such as the Basel fair (which double the inhabitant number of a city like Basel), parking place will be rare and expensiv...

Hi Ed, You already have your room confirmed? If not, I doubt you would now find a hotel in Basel (they were all sold out months ago) so you will more than likely be in one of the outlying towns unless you are very lucky. Andrew

As far as I know, they have not been delivered yet but I did not order one as I wanted one of the special 10 but could not get my hands on one! I think they were meant to be delivered somewhere around this month from memory but I think they have been work...

It not too far
I have stayed near there before and it is not too far away. Not as convenient as Zurich (in terms of lots of trains) but certainly closer by car.
