Great question

I'll start with the complication, or in my case the lack of. Between dwindling eyesight and a growing taste for simplicity, I would personally go time only. I can appreciate the craftsmanship of complicated watches but I have little interest in them from an ownership point of view. I would personally look at vintage or neo-vintage. there are some fantastic watches available for very reasonable prices if you do a bit of digging. Actually one of the greatest marketing plot of recent horology is that exclusive or precious metals are expensive but it doesn't have to be that way. Lastly I love rose gold but there are too few settings in which I could use them without attracting too much attention for my liking and as a result I do not own one yet, the closest I came was girard perregaux with their vintage lineup. Good hunting, looking forward to reading other replies and what you end up getting.

There are great options amongst the big three in the neo vintage category sub-10k usd. The AP you show is one example but on the larger diameter side

I have a soft spot for VC's patrimony 81160, lovely case and movement (if a bit small). Even the modern VC traditionnelle is a bit of a bargain, just like the breguet 5907.

a Basic one can be had in the grey market for ~11,000 USD sheich you reaslly cannot beat in terms of movement finishing and overall aesthetic. and you can dress it up and dress it down 39mm

I'd go time only probably regardless of budget, but if finances are a large consideration, check servicing cost of PC.

For me, I would go with the simple time only from a higher tier brand. I would go for quality, finishing, and higher level of design and execution over additional complications.
