Horological Meandering

Ok...

Overall, I can say that the employees at MB&F have among the highest ethics within the watch industry I've seen.  Their commitment and loyalty to their customers is one of the reasons why they have such a loyal cult following.  Obviously, the innovative and unique products are another big contributing reason.

I've met several of the members of the small 20-something person team over the years.  I can say, each member behaves of the highest integrity.  It is overall one of the most transparent companies I've ever seen in the Swiss watch industry.  And due to the small size, the team knows what's going on, the story is always consistent, and they think/operate/communicate as one entity.

Shortly said, this is as good as it gets in the watch industry.  You basically state that you hold MB&F to a higher standard than the rest of the industry because they have a well known history of working with independents and acknowledging their contributors.  This is probably the one maison that can be held to your high standards.  But ask yourself seriously; would you mention every company that designed a tortue automaton in the past 100 years (there aren't too many) upon launching yours?  Do you think it's reasonable to do that?  And the only major similarity to Raul Pages' tortue was that they're both the only ones ever made in a white metal, and one of the MB&F models happened to be in a shade of blue, almost all the others have been generally in gold-tones.  And why stop at Raul Pages' tortue, let's go a hundred years.  Wait, they've made tortue automatons for over 300 years, maybe they should mention every maker past that too.  It's not a reasonable requirement to impose.  If this was your automaton company, that we hold to the highest standards, as a consumer of this stuff I'd find it strange if you mentioned all of that in your press release.
