While your post is well-intentioned, it presents a somewhat idealized view of the watch industry. While Ariel Adams' perspective is valuable, it's important to consider the industry's realities. The watch and jewelry industry is often exclusive, and brands carefully curate their image. While community engagement is important, it needs to align with the brand's positioning. For example, luxury brands like GP, Patek Philippe, UN, and Vacheron Constantin may not be comfortable associating their names with casual events like pizza parties. Such events could potentially dilute their brand image and alienate their target audience.  Just because you think pizza events are cool - doesn't mean a large percentage of luxury brands would accept them.
