Well, in general, yes. Sure we love 'outdated' mechanical technology. So why buy it? Ahhhh..... :)

 

Of course there is an art to it as well, since high-precision machining is extremely easy nowadays. It extends the questions about buying tourbillons. Guess we buy tourbillons because we love the art of it. A $300 Chinese watch has a tourbillon, so it is not hard to make. As for gravity, think hairspring tech and regulation are reasonably accurate in 2025 sans tourbillon. We don't need toubillion at all. 


But it sure looks cool / is fun to watch. If you have a 3D printer.... smile
