Why would you choose the Patek if you like the LF movement ?
Just trying to understand your choice.
I’m personally not into sports watches, so I prefer this Classic Tourbillon with traditional finishing instead of the modern ruthenium finishing of the Grand Sport Tourbillon. But it’s just my taste and I fully understand the appeal of the Grand Sport.

The only sad thing is that the 51.7 mm lug-to-lug

I've seen one in person but didn't try it on...
...I have a 7.25" wrist so maybe I'd have a chance. It has everything I love...a great case with a shaped movement, and the tourbillon only visible from the back.

if I had to choose, the Patek. That art deco case is irresistible!

The Patek dial looks better to me. And I adore Art Deco. But the watch itself is so long that it looks oversized on my wrist. The 5124G with salmon dial and the 5124J with the white dial look so good on my wrist - should've bought those! The LF fits well ...
When I tried side by side the 5124 and the 5100,
I personally preferred the 5100. But I think the 5101 would probably have an excessive lug-to-lug for my wrist. Like you, I’m not fond of the writing on the dial of the LF. But the movement is wonderful and I suspect that the winding experience is greater...
Yes! The haptics on the winding experience is definitely better on the LF!
LF really makes a delightful timepiece.
That's what I thought.
Even the Micro-Rotor is a pleasure to wind. In fact I wish it was hand-wound. Whereas I was disappointed by the winding experience of the PP ref. 5100: far from being the greatest I've experienced.

I can understand that, of course.
But my experience with the 5098 is so strong that I really feel attracted to the case of the 5101. I’ve never seen it in real life, though. Best, Emmanuel
I look at you 5098 a little differently.
It’s not exactly a straight rectangle in my opinion. The curved sides totally changes the look in my opinion. I actually love that model👍
Your completely right: the shape is very different
and it fits my smallish 16 cm wrist very well, whereas the 51.7 mm lug-to-lug of the 5101 would probably be too long for me…
Impossible "Choice"!
Both are gorgeous examples, and incomparable imo. And I'm not even a tourby fan 😉

As much as I love the 5101, it's difficult to wear without a large wrist. They only appear to be of similar size when photographed together; ergonomics of a long rectangular case put it out of reach for many. Best, Tim

I find it unfortunate that the rectangular case of the 5101 is too long for most wrists because, design wise, it is so full of charm. But the LF is really great too. Best, Emmanuel

To wear regularly, the LF. The PP shaped 10-day movement is incredible, but perhaps too big for me.
I’m afraid it would be too big for me too.
And I regret it because I find this shaped case full of charm (and, thanks to the 5098P, I know how incredibly pleasing wearing a shaped case can be). But the LF is great too in its own way. Best, Emmanuel

My interest in haute (with the exception perhaps of MB&F) is experiential. The zeitgeist of LF is more interesting to me than the classical legacy of Patek… ...

Patek for me based on the case, dial, complications, and history.
But both are phenomenal and anyone would be very lucky indeed to own.

I would choose
the Patek for case and dial design but the Laurent Ferrier for wearability because the Patek is actually too long for most wrists. Movement wise, they tie in my opinion.

There are currently 18 examples for sale on C24,
including 10 platinum, but only 5 with box and papers (none in the EU).
Funny story is that a lot of these watches are without papers. How can one loose the papers to $250k watch?
