Horological Meandering

Ya know, after about 40 years of actively enjoying horology...

 

...there is no single grail. Akin to when asking which vehicle is the best? Maybe the 'grail' is a Pagani, but also could be a Ford Superduty 350 (for towing the Pagani to track events in a nice enclosed trailer.). Could be a motorcycle, especially for travelling efficiently through parts of India. 


Sure a modern F1 car is fast, but would it really be 'the most fun' to drive on track? What about the fun-filled Formula Ford, or vintage Lotus.... not ultra-fast yet very fun. 

And for rock crawling fun or hill climbing....

Imho there is no single all-encompassing grail timepiece, as one must also realize that different moments and tasks also dictate what may be considered the 'grail'. Plus which metal bracelet or leather / rubber strap?
