Years ago I thought I had a grail. At the time it was the UN Trilogy. Ultimately, I was fortunate to acquire it and thought I would be done but not so.
I came to the realization that if a mountain climber scales Mount Everest does that mean he or she will never climb another mountain? Highly unlikely.
As time has passed, I have gone from one mountain to the next, watch ADD in full force.
There is always another to strive after. Recently, I have been able to control myself and not set my goals to an unachievable height.
All that said, the most recent grail might be the Chopard Full Strike. If anyone has had the opportunity to hear the sound that emanates from the sapphire gongs incorporated in that piece they would understand. Loud and crystal clear, I don't think there is a repeater that matches it.
Always fascinated by a Perpetual Calendar Chronograph....and finally got that.

My two grails are on the top left and right for which I am selling a Vacheron Constantin Overseas 47040 and a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711J. My grail end state collection will then only consist of four pieces. The remainder goes to my son or gets sold.

Reachable grail => Patek QP Chrono like 5270P or 5270J ... If lucky may be the QP Split Chrono. Real grail that i do not think i will have the means for=> PP WT minute repeater.

The sound is not as nice (in terms of purity) as Patek or JLC, and it is a bit harsh but is quite loud and nice for my ears..granted, i have yet to listen many MR watches.
