Beautiful!
Thanks for the article. I enjoy it tremendously.
I could almost hear myself calling it the Japanese "Simplicity".
Amazing accomplishment.
A few comments if I may.
1) The dial design and features are very beautiful. Much better and way less boring/bland than any Grand Seikos.
2) Hand finishing is exquisite for someone who is self taught.
3) I think he needs to name the watch and the crown needs to be better and signed with a logo. (Would not be a problem given his graphics design background). The crown really needs to match the aesthetics of the watch. As I'm typing this, I'm looking at the the Armin Strom watch advertisement on the right and the crown for that watch is beautiful.
4) I don't really get the point of using titanium for the balance wheel yet but appreciate it for the color tone and "weight" it gives to the appearance of the movement due to its size. How is the balance adjusted? This feature seems hidden. I can appreciate how using a free sprung balance would have completely destroyed the exquisite design lines of the movement.
5) Overall a very beautiful watch. Unique perhaps in its birth.
