Independents

You read my ariticle right, Doas!

Yes, he aims for "practical" yet "aesthetically beautiful" design.  Practical side shows in the fact that he does not like decorating where people cannot see - not for lack of the effort, but for the practical reasons.  He makes parts with new jigs each time - yes, the jig is one-time use only - too keep the precision of front and back of the parts.  So, adding the decoration where no one can see actually affects the movement's accuracy as it had not been taken into calculation and hand made engraving and such would not be able to be precise.....etc.

But, interestingly, he admits that he will eventually make the precious metal cases if there is so much demands - while admitting it is not practical, but for business.  He is down-to-earth.  I would like, if I were to get one, to ask for a titanium case/ buckle, though smile  It is practical, hehehe.

I will keep you all posted.

Best,
Ken
