A couple of points
1. The Georg pieces from the initial release had some lubricants leaking into the movement and therefore the resultant problems. Several pieces had to go back for fixing this.
2. The departure of Marco Lang was a significant event; and IMHO there would always be a detrimental effect on the design philosophy as well as horological evolution of an independent brand whenever the founder departs.
Of course the arrival of Jens Schneider who has a fabulous pedigree, having been part of the Zeitwerk creation team at A.Lange & Sohne; and then at Moritz Grossmann, where he was involved with building the “Benu”, is comforting as well as the induction of Gutierrez Diaz ( ex Richemont) in 2020 as CEO herald better stability.
3. The company still produces low volume and I would dip my toes after a bit more of wait and watch to see what new comes from the brand.

It already says Dresden on the dial? There is some sort of historical significance to doing this? Or just personal preference aesthetically?
It is given too much importance. It takes up too much space on the dial.
It is peripheral information and is more appropriate on the back.
Nothing will match that L&H.

Like the PP 5124, I love how it curves around your wrist. A bit of cheating but I also love the Moser Swiss Alps, even when I hate the Apple Watch lol.

Part of what attracts me to rectangular watches is their Art Deco look, and this one screams Deco
That L&H is a very nice watch. I love looking at pictures of it. That being said, I do not own any rectangular watch and there‘s none on my wishlist atm. Don‘t know why.
Maybe it‘s just not something I see myself wearing, But maybe I just didn‘t see „my“ rectangular watch yet.

I completely agree, I also really love unusual case designs!
Here are a few of my fav! While I much prefer a case shaped movement that is in house (like the christopher claret, hautelence, etc...) , there are some really nice watches that either don't have an in house movement that is round but still in a nice case...

A fantastic watch... but
The departure of Marco Lang from the company has diminished my enthusiasm for the company, though the watch itself, with its shaped caliber and those lovely bridges, is a brilliant horological creation.
That was also the reason that let me
hesitate last year - the leaving of Marco Lang. But: the construction of the Georg and others and especially the movement remains the same. So what are the disadvantageous points from your point of view? Best Thomas

Well, you know my position on this watch, having owned it almost 2 years now...
It is one of my fav. watches I currently own and there is nothing I'd change about it. Marco's design language and horological skill are tops in my book. It's a shame he felt he had to depart the company he founded, but c'est la vie as the expression goes...

The diamond end stone..
On the huge escapement wheel, is a classic touch. Gleaming steel bridges in a row ; and the frosted plate... The crown guards hugging the bulbous crown and the triple lugs are Marco Lang design originals. A treat for the eye. Not to forget those heat blue...
Yes, the dimaond end stone is an aesthetic touch that Marco wanted to use as a nod to traditional high end German watchmaking.
