This is the first time that I have felt that reading is BETTER than owning
I think you have just managed to counter GLOBAL recession and made reading a fine, superb post...with details and pictures. Certainly from my perspective of having very close relations with these objects, I sincerely feel that just reading your presentation is so rewarding, that it may just supercede owning the watches.
Of course it would not replace the pleasure of tactile feel, or a warm, private pride of ownership.
However, the distilled essence of ownership is knowledge and familiarity, this you have given to us in full and good measure.
Surely a great antidote for many who will not be able to get hold of either watch.
