a lot of my family emembers were omega watch wearers and I do like Omega
My great grand dather, my grand father and my father wore Omega watches but aside that the fact that Omega holds several records of precision including chronometrical records set by Alfred Jaccard, Gotlob Ith and Rene Ory as well as Omega has beaten Rolex for the numbers of officially certified chronometers made from till the early 20th century till 1972, forces my respect to this brand. Also the association of Omega with Lemania produced one of the most famous chrongraphs, the speedmaster, even after 50 years, it is still a very popular model. Being the official watch worn on the moon as well as 25 (26?) times Official Olympic games time keeper just reinforces my appreciation for Omega and is not a sign of luck.
I am however a biggerfan of the pre hayek eta wears which means years ranging from 1939 till 1983 where Omega was its summit. Now in 2011 with the launch of the new 9300 and generalisation of the 8500 which will be built inside Omega, one can hope they will find again their glorious past soon.

I'd say, even if I don't consider myself anything else than an admirer of the brand, that I like the brand for its important historical background in different backgrounds such as: Precision : The Chronometric watches, and the Connies are a nice ambassado...
