my answer could be as simple as this....
... the most important thing is Omega has a long and good history of making watches, they have committed to develop and produce high quality of watches, e.g. watches with chronometer certificated. i guess despite Rolex, Omega is another watch maker that can produce many and many chronometer watches in the past.
further to add on the quality aspect, i think not many watch makers as Omega can make almost all of their movements with cooper like metal so that it not only can make it look nicer, but also that can last the movement to have longer life span.
