Omega

ztirual, the dial in your watch is not legit MoD issue. it is a later repaint; done.....

in the UK when the Omegas were auctioned by the MoD and many , many spares were auctioned too. cases, dials, movements, hands, everything for peannuts. there were a few bigger dealers, who bought the lot from the MoD. and had dials repainted. that is the "T for tritium and non-rail" dial birthplace. not issued by the military. it is the same story with the IWC MK 11. to make things more interesting, they designed different dials with different fonts and had them reprinted. that is where the "infamous WHITE DIAL IWC MK 11" was "born". everybody, who had one, wanted to believe it was very, very rare...../navy?/white dial navy pilots?/..... and was a lot more expensive in the beginning. unless some very good IWC research uncovered the dealer, who had the white dials made after the MoD auctions.....your dial looks more like the 1956 refurbishment period. kind regards. achim
