PP cannot control prices AFTER a piece has left their distribution network, so whatever the market price is the market price.
They only screen clients for the special pieces, mainly because they have a supply problem and so, the more loyal clients get the desired pieces (say....models with less than 20 production pieces/year). That may have a side-effect to reduce "flipping" as a 'by-the-by' but not the primary intention.
The issue in this thread is profiteering by the "authorised dealer", which I am not sure is ethical even though not illegal. Each country network has a published List Price.....it ain't right to add a personal premium even if they don't insist on a MRSP. Dealers are given a minimum price for each model but I don't know if they have to adhere to a maximum limit too (?).
