Patek's home runs in the looks department have been far and between over the past 10+ years. 5230P is up there, 5740/1G as well, and 5170P was lovely too if one can live with off-center registers. But I am very much in line with your thinking on the 5172 and 5270, the 5226, 6007, and 6119 Calatravas, and also 5327, 4947, 5990, and 5935.

The modern designs do not have the harmony of the vintage and neovintage designs. We are not the target customer, full stop. Given the past 10 years, I do not have much confidence in the brand.
From a business development perspective, I figure there’s an inflection point for certain products and brands where they have to turn their investment/focus to the next generation of consumers.

I just don't think I'd wear it.. but the sculpted lugs, guilloche dial, blue tones, plt case... really nice. The movement seems a bit dated

You are totally right. The thing which makes me laugh the most is the name of the watch. Cubitus in french is a bone ( elna in english ) close to the Humerus, normally above the Anus ( back ) and uterus ( front ).

Lol 😂 true, you’re right about how a watch wears, the 5196 wears way more impressively than its 37mm suggests
The Nautilus on the other hand wears smaller than the 42mm ...
My first Patek was a 37mm 5035G. Eventually I felt it wore too small and sold it.
You're right that the 5196 gives the impression of being bigger than its 37mm, probably because it's flat and with a thin bezel. I also had a 5712A and that was a very nice size - 40mm?
Yes exactly, the 5035 has a significant bezel architecture
It wears smaller than a 5140 or 5110 for instance, they’re all 37mm The 5712 is really 38mm although they say 42mm
