I think there are some really interesting observations made in your review and ones which I share, both in terms of criticisms as well as optimism.
You state, 'But the ambition assigned to the Calatrava 6007A-001 may be broader. It also aims to rejuvenate the image of Patek Philippe. I almost wrote "to renew the clientele" but I changed my mind.' I completely agree with this. While this is not a watch that appeals to me as a PP collector I undoubtedly understand the objective of PP in releasing this. So rather than focussing on the points of contention one should applaud the efforts at increasing its customer base to a newer, younger demographic. To that end, I actually rather hope that us 'collectors' aren't allocated these pieces as if it is to serve its presumed purpose it should be going to new customers of the brand as a means of widening their future clientele base. That would be better than it sitting somewhere in a safe to be sold at a profit without having been loved.
How much better the thought that someone who has lusted after a PP for years and is now finally able to be in a financial position to fulfil a dream could start their journey with a piece like this?

Final point? I note that in your photographs as with pretty much every single review I've seen the hands are in the same position with the second hand at 30. Why so? Was it a non-working prototype you handled? I'm intrigued!

I do like date indications in watches. Maybe not perfect from an aesthetic point of view, but very handy if you wear the watch daily. A very personal choice though. I've placed my order, so let's see if I am lucky this time🤞🏻

I think this is a legitimate question, but its answer is probably obvious to everyone.
Patek is much more than a watch brand. Today it might not be an overstatement to say that, in the minds of many people, Patek is first and foremost an idea. THEN it's a watch. So do you have to like the 6007A or, in fact, any Patek at all? Absolutely not....
I always feel that Patek enjoys....

I agree with your case back comment. I love seeing the movement personally. But either make it solid or transparent , not a distorted view. By other person issue is watches that display a 6 and a 9 but rotate them too much ( rolex has models with an upsid...
The commeration on the case back..is it inscribed or printed...please tell me that at least PP made the effort to enscribe it versus going el cheap and just

a derivative from 5524 which itslef was so controversial when it came out and now it is well quite liked. The 5522 was heavily criticiized for being a simple watch with no personality. Look at how it performed in the primary and secondary markets.
