As Pateks go, this one is supremely underwhelming. I just haven't gotten on with either this one or the prior introduction, the 4947A. It just...for lack of a better term, looks cheap? There's something about it: font for the numerals is off, the dial tex... 

My interpretation of this reference is that it’s trying too hard. Although its elements are beautiful and well finished, together I don’t thing it works. But what do I know - for all intents and purposes it may become a classic.

I know that it wears very nicely on my small wrist. And I like the colors of this version. But other watches feel more important to me than this one. Thanks for sharing your impressions. Best, Emmanuel
