About the 5170G , i am really surprised, you said sand-blasted while dial? Double check, sand-blasted should give a rugged texture, have a look at the Lange zeitwerk handwerskunst,
Anyway, i looked at it in all angles, outdoors, indoors, that white didn't move an inch. I know really well the white dial of the 5726A, which have several tonalities, depending of surrounding and light, but totally different.
