I feel compelled to write a short review of my recently acquired Patek Philippe 5327G Perpetual Calendar, which has been an absolute joy on the wrist. Launched in 2016, the 5327 replaces the earlier 5140 (launched in 2006), itself the successor of the leg...

The Breguet numerals did the trick for me. Was previously considering the 5140P, but this one won my heart.

The varied elements of the watch, already attractive enough on their own, are pleasantly synergistic in this combination.

I can well understand your excitement about the 5327G. The colour of the dial in conjunction with the Breguet numerals also appeals to me a lot. But I also like the contrast between the blue dial and the white printing very much. White gold and white prin...  

I absolutely agree that the white printing goes incredibly well with the royal blue dial, as most superbly demonstrated by your wristshot!

I dare say that the Breguet numerals are both a good solution and a lovely aesthetic addition to the line!

…but the proportions don’t work for me. As much as I love the numerals, they were out there to hide (the admittedly great) small movement. Close, but the 3940 is still the king…

And I have to agree that the 3940 is the grand patriarch of the family.

Mine is perpetually wound, and I am lucky enough not to have to set it again since acquisition. In terms of ease of setting, there are definitely other perpetual calendars in the market that are easier to set.

And the 5327r has been on my radar for a while. Love it’s proportions and case with the scalloped out lugs. For me the ivory dial and Breguet numerals just finish it off. A great continuation of the perpetual Calendar line. A seriously nice watch in my mi...

I wanted to write a review in the style of "one year on the wrist" for this similar but slightly larger masterpiece. Your review sets up a high benchmark and is fun to read. However, I will try to finish my piece soon and post it, though I don't have a ca...  

I very much look forward to your review for a different perspective! To be honest, the pictures in my review were taken with my phone camera, with the help of a clip-on macro lens for the close-up shots.

I really like the 5140 and I sometimes want to own one. Although admittedly, I'd probably never have it set up correctly.

I was seriously considering the 5140P-001 as well, given the same colour scheme and the lovely platinum.

I have the other two references in this family, 5227 and 5205, with similar curvaceous cases and scalloped lugs as the 5327. But this one, with that amazing blue dial, is unquestionably the ultimate version of the 3 siblings. Great pics and great watch!

I would love to have the 5227 and the 5205, in particular the 5205G-013 with that spectacular dial.... I guess it's quite obvious that I'm partial to this colour combination.

I would go with the 3940 without a doubt. Size is the critical point here. When you are used to bigger watches you might have a problem with the 36mm, which wears even smaller than other 36mm watches. In case not, the 3940 is the original! So beautiful. F... 

The 5327 is a wonderful watch. I'm a fan of the classic PCs from PP. But imho this modern Interpretation is a bit oversized. I write this by being aware that also size is a matter of taste. As the 3940 was always a bit too small for my wrist I found my so...
