Patek should always have an xx96 in its lineup. I look forward to what Patek releases next in the lineup, likely in the same form as the 6196P but in G, R and Y. Those will be nice. As to the 5196, I like it but I think the movement size is a mere comprom...

Time only, handwind, the straight line in design history all the way back to the 1930's. All 'purists' reasons! But this watch, to me, is better.

but only a "different". Which is good, as there is the right Calatrava for almost everybody. The Calatrava that makes me smile the most is the right one for me 😀 And that's currently the 5127G. No idea if this last forever 🤷‍♂️

But if I were in your place, I'd agree that mine is best.
