I have many more Pateks than APs, but I would go Code. The newer versions are starting to hit their stride. The 38 QP, Starwheel, etc. I hope Patek figures out something with the Cubitus, but it ist doing it for me right now

At 40mm. I find the time only cubitus to be more aesthetically appealing than the complications. And on the flip side, the complicated Codes are attractive but the time only are not appealing to me.

I believe both designs were made for cost saving. The only difference is that you dont see it blatantly in the code. But the code also got a few more hears under its belt. I would get the starwheel code given a chance.
