I am seriously considering taking the plunge on a patek philippe 5146 with the cream dial. Anyone with any knowledge of this watch? I've always been a Zenith guy, but thought was time to broaden my horizons....and empty my wallet. Thanks.
Just wanted to inquire, how can one tell if the watch they're looking at has the 315 base movement or the 324 base movement? They look similar. I would prefer the 324 movement because of the 28.8K vph over the 315 movement; the slight sacrifice in reserve...

I have a 5146J with slate dial which I adore, but mine is the transitional model, it has the 315 movement but it has the newer 4 arms on the balance just like the balance on the 324.
my fave is the 5146P for the dark ebony-gray dial and markers without numerals... and the small detail of the 'frame' around the date window.. it all adds up to what we are all saying here... a very natural wristwatch that goes with everything... The Cala...
