“Bragging” rights had absolutely nothing to do with why I bought my watch. The moment I saw it I just knew I had to have it. The feeling inside it gave me was like nothing I’d ever experienced before with all the Watches I’d seen and owned. The fact that I already loved the 5970 was also a factor.
My reason for today’s post was not to try and say which one was the best but simply to try and answer many questions that I had been asked and also to express how I have felt about Patek over the last few years.
Which one is the best is much simpler to express .........

....yes, the finishing does seem of a higher standard to the 5170......yes... On 5131.....i can't tell you as mine doesn't arrive until next week!!!
