I thought to myself, platinum is platinum and in many ways at least for me it is the ultimate metal in a watch. But the thought of yellow never quite left me and so about a year later I began the search. As usual I wanted one that was mint unpolished and ...

I get it. They have very different vibes, platinum and black dial, yg and white dial. Very nice combo. If I had to pick one likely the P for versatility and that it's platinum. Otherwise that J is really top class too!

I could get into deeper trouble😂but I will do my best to resist. But if I were to add a third one, it would be most likely the G. For me the yellow has a warm vintage feel …. classy while the P is bold sporty and daring.

That way, when you send one in for service, you won’t miss it as much. 😆 The white dial is a bit more legible in my opinion, but I have always liked black dialed watches so my answer is again, both. 😁

as it’s so full of life and light, and as I’m not fond of white metals nor of black dials. And, as I love the warmth of rose gold, I think I would also enjoy the R very much, even if it might be a kind of heresy to many seasoned collectors. As for the 597...  

Easy to find it thru Google in Revolution Magazine written by its founder Wei Koh and includes his special dial 5970J.

And Wei Koh's bespoke chocolate dial version is quite attractive. But the regular J or R remain by far my personal favorite. Imho, opening the J, though double-sealed, was a great decision: wearing this piece must be an absolute pleasure!

Somewhat to my surprise, because I’m not usually a colored metal fan, I prefer the J for its legibility and vintage vibe. Both are terrific.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s ok to own two versions of the same watch. I actually have a bunch, just not two 5970’s lol. Congratulations!

When you find something that's perfect for you, stick with it. I get your point on clothing, I do that too.

Also, the same can apply to items other than watches.

Wear both with the best of health and great joy. I am totally thinking the same way. I also think that 5970 is the best of all references and the most beautiful and balanced watch of all. As you said it is a perfect watch. My favorite is J but having both... 

Back to pre-COVID ages, we were able to see those pieces in person. In my humble opinion, the rose gold and the yellow gold are quite similar to each other. Moreover, we may see the color changing towards convergence in time. But the platinum has a differ...

makes perfect sense to me to have more than one in the same reference. After all they wear quite differently in different dial and metal configurations. But you as the wearer know what your wrist feels good in terms of reference. Congrats on the J, amazin...
