... Your post is not about watches, its about judging people. You ask WHY, and you answer yourself even if you claim that you don't understand.
At least be honest and call things by their name. It seems quite clear that you mean "new-money" when you mention russians, arabs and asians and that they have just money, insinuating they have no finesse, class or culture and therefore no horology culture.... Oh, and let's not forget about the VIP's ( whoever you mean here, i don't know ) , athletes, and actors.
Usually they are known to be attracted to everything that blings and is flashy, so according to you, they are attracted to modern pieces. Of course, they do not and cannot appreciate Vintage piece because you need to have a deeper understanding, some experience and a background in horology to appreciate the less obvious charm of vintage watches.
Ok so let's call things by their name, mister i-am-classy-52yrs-old-italian-full-of-myself, maybe its time to wake up, get your head cleared up from all those pre-set ideas and think twice before generalizing, categorizing and judging people.
P.s: Nice to put the VIP's , athletes, and actors with the Arabs, the Russians and asians. If i follow your logic, we get all the hot girls and you end up with the fat mama.

....its simply wrong to state that a certain size watch is "the perfect size". It may be the perfect size for you, but that will differ from one person to the next. The perfect size watch for me is probably 37-38mm...and depending on the style of the case...
