First time I’ve noticed
The Gen I bezel, and Gen II for that matter, have 8 “ears” while the III only 6. The pronounced “hips” in the case shape and more complex bracelet design of the Gen III leaves me with the impression that the Gen I is the more sporty in appearance but the Gen III would stand up well in more formal situations. Thankfully the family DNA remains strong.

generation so far, I like the case shape, the bracelet and the fact that after all these years the watch design wise holds pretty well, my only gripe is the date window, for me, a small date as an only complication ruins the dial, doesn’t matter its posit...

I also prefer the case shape of the first generation, but not the logo, date window or bracelet... If only we could have the best of both worlds!

But one is way too small the other way too expensive So none But only considering the looks both are lovely
35 mm is small, but the presence on the wrist seems larger than the rated size would suggest.

Tough call — normally I would gravitate to the smaller version —
But, in this case I prefer the salmon dial of the third generation versus the copper dial of the first iteration. That being said, I would definitely need to see them at hand.

I like the platinum case and I like how the newer bracelet links take their design cues from the Maltese cross. I always thought this was a cool idea.
The links design of third gen is interesting indeed.
I would just say that, as the Maltese cross motif is already on the bezel, it makes this motif a bit insistent. But it’s nice nonetheless.
