I had the first gen - this Automatic as well as the Chronograph - both in steel, Military dial, and find the Automatic to be a bit small.
I also prefer the straight text logo on the newer version, never a fan of such curved text (the military dial has straight text).
The calibre on this third gen is finer compared to the GP-based one of the first gen too.
BTW there is an issue on the date disc on one of the watches shown.

35 mm is small, but the presence on the wrist seems larger than the rated size would suggest.

Tough call — normally I would gravitate to the smaller version —
But, in this case I prefer the salmon dial of the third generation versus the copper dial of the first iteration. That being said, I would definitely need to see them at hand.

I like the platinum case and I like how the newer bracelet links take their design cues from the Maltese cross. I always thought this was a cool idea.
The links design of third gen is interesting indeed.
I would just say that, as the Maltese cross motif is already on the bezel, it makes this motif a bit insistent. But it’s nice nonetheless.
