Mark III and Mark IV

Yesterday I was at the workshop where my Continental is being maintained. And coincides had it that there was another Continental standing there. A Mark III (in lesser original condition).

Nevertheless a side by side picture had to be taken.

Two weeks ago when I was grocery shopping a car stopped next to me and a man got out with a big smile on his face starting talking with a loud voice: "Lincoln Continental Mark IV!". "My dream car!". And he gave me his business card and said: "If you ever want to sell it call me!".

So yesterday I visited him with the car and took him for a ride. Long story short: he's got the cash ready...

But I'm in doubt whether to sell it or not. It's not my dream car and I bought it for laughs but it does make me smile every time I drive it. Because it is such a ridiculous car. If I sell it however I can move on to something like this:

Still I'm afraid I will miss it if I do part with it. Decisions decisions....

If it is not your dream car, you can always let it go... You will find something else, no worries. After all, you had your share of pleasure, fun, and maybe it is time to explore different universes? Best, Nicolas

I tend to agree with Nico. And car number two would be a more-than-fitting replacement.

Not so fast! Give up on the opera windows and the vinyl roof? Surely not before the Cartier Boutique in Amsterdam has had a go on your dashboard clock!

You won't believe it! It hasn\'t run for 2 years. I\'m selling the car (will deliver it to the owner next week). Drove it to the Historic Grand Prix in Zandvoort. On my way home all of a sudden the Cartier starts ticking. :-( ...

I don't know (and truly doubt) . . . . . . if that fly-catcher hood scoop is original, but Detroit produced some rare wagon iron back then. Pontiac, most notably; supposedly, a fair share of the famed 421 Super Duty Ponchos were wagons, and they ruled the Stock classes of NHRA and AHRA drag ...
