Another mad vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms GTG in Paris.

I told you that in January we had a blast of vintage Fifty Fathoms. 3 friends, 20 vintage Fifty Fathoms, a lot of legendary pieces here.
Here are some photos.
The crazy one gathering the 20 vintage Fifty Fathoms: Among them, 2 " Bund ", A Rotomatic Incabloc French Army, a Waltham, the Milspec Pakistani, one " AM "... 6 Tornek Rayville ( ! ) There was also an... Air Command, but I will make a dedicated post on that one.
Now the 6 Tornek Rayville, or should I say 5 and a half, as the one on the right has an aftermarket insert, a wrong crown, and the good case back is missing. But the case, the dial, the movement and the hands are correct.

I will try to work on a mega Fifty Fathoms GTG with at least 5 collectors, just t see how far we can go in the madness. 
A guess estimate? 40 to 50 pieces. Yes, I think we can reach this number.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act III: Where did they find the inspiration?

We discussed the " Act III " many times lately, and we know that Blancpain took inspiration from a vintage Blancpain, but which one? Many said that it was the Bronze Milspec. They are partially true. To be more correct and precise, it is a Bronze Milspec, but not an " ordinary " one, as it is, as we'll see, an US NAVY. First of all, the funny thing is that Blancpain could have chosen a more famous vintage, such as a Tornek Rayville, or a " regular " Milspec.
