Bulgari’s Women’s Watch Choices Today – Part 3: B.Zero1

You know that a watch has reached a certain level of significance for a brand when replicas of it can be found. For many of Bulgari’s watches, they have achieved this acclamation. The luxury giant’s “other” signature women’s watch is the B. Zero 1. The B.Zero1 has similar designing to the BVLGARI BVLGARI but smaller and daintier. It is kind of like the BVLGARI BVLGARI’s younger petite sister, the ballerina to its sibling ballroom dancer. It carries a look that resonates through the entire line of Bulgari products from rings and earrings to bags and cufflinks. The circular coin shape has become synonymous with the Bulgari image and identity, serving as a cohesive link between all the elements that make up the global brand.

Distinctive Case

The B. Zero 1 has a distinctive style all its own. The watch is offered in three different sizes with cases measuring 22mm, 30mm, and 35mm. Although most of the models sport traditionally smaller female case sizes, the B. Zero 1’s profile is quite tall. With a height of 8mm for the 22mm size, 8.6mm for the 30mm and 9.4mm for the 35mm version, the case thicknesses are disproportionately large compared to the width. The case of the B. Zero 1 is indicative o the cross section of a tube, a modern looking disc shape with flat planar surfaces and not a lot of variation in angular surfaces or curves. The shape is simple straightforward and contemporary.

The profile view of the watch reveals the overhanging ridges in the side of the case. The mid-section is recessed creating a look that is reminiscent of the rims on a wheel. The singular lug that extends from the top and bottom of the case connecting the strap is minimal and keeps the emphasis on the circular contemporary case. The bezel features the double engraved BVLGARI BVLGARI logo that ties all the signature elements of the brand together in a compact watch for women.

 Feminine Styling

The B. Zero 1 line of women’s watches features more color than any other model in Bulgari’s collection. It is clearly Bulgari’s vehicle for feminine expression when it comes to their timepieces. It is offered with different dial options from plain black and colored mother of pearl to stylized design motifs like hearts and butterflies. Some versions are embellished with gemstones or diamonds further adding to the feminine look of the watch.

The B. Zero 1 is available in steel or 18kt yellow gold and is available in a variety of different strap choices in addition to the dials. Some watches come with metal bangle bracelets instead of a strap to offer women a more formal alternative for a wristwatch. All versions of the B. Zero 1 watch come with a quartz movement with hour and minute functions only. It’s a simple watch that is elegant as well as versatile.
