Cartier is the symbol of a true market trend: the come back of more realistic prices. Can you imagine that the Santos Skeleton in steel is available at a price of around 25,000 euros? That the Drive in steel with the handwind movement at a price of 5.400 euros?
The event this year is the come back of Santos but some very appealing pieces in higher segments were unveiled too. But obviously the focus is not in the high end segment anymore: back to classics could be a good summary of Cartier strategy.
Please note that the Santos features a clever strap bracelet change system which also allows to easily remove links.
I would have liked to see a Santos Dumont Skeleton in steel too and not only a Santos 100 XL. Happy to see a new iteration of the Crash. This timepiece is so cool even if it’s dedicated to women hereBest wishes Alkiro

It is a nice tradition: twice per year, Cartier organizes the "rendez-vous", a kind of big exhibition which gathers the full scope of novelties, from jewelry to watchmaking without forgetting the leather goods and other accessories. The interest of this event which takes place during the day (I'm not talking about a cocktail party) is to create a specific atmosphere, a mise en scène in order to present these novelties with fun and with a common thread. The "rendez-vous" is usually organized in a hotel in Paris during the Fashion Weeks to take advantage of the presence of a lot of journalists and bloggers from any place in the world. And why in a hotel? Just to be sure to have a surface large enough to display all these novelties and to play with the different rooms...
